~ The Getaway Part III: A Crop Top ~
I've never been a big fan of crop tops. All that midriff exposure any time you bend one way or another... plus I never felt like a had the curves to pull it off. But this Missoni fabric I'd been stashing didn't seem to want to be sewn any other way! So I made my own version of a crop top with a modified back that dipped down a bit. I threw on an old stretchy, high-waisted skirt and my new stay-pale hat and milled about on our guest patio.
My opinion of crop tops has decidedly changed after making one that actually fits me well, and it was definitely a treat to avoid having to tuck one's shirt in to get that high-waisted look. A nice little breeze, too!
